The role in a nutshell:
Do you enjoy being outdoors and making spaces look beautiful? We're looking for friendly volunteers to help care for our courtyard garden and outdoor spaces at The Deal Centre.What will you be doing?
Weeding – Including flower beds, pathways, and the car park
Watering
Planting
Sharing Ideas – Got a creative touch? Help us plan seasonal planting or add a splash of colour!
How would you be supported in this role?
In addition to the induction we provide, we also ensure you have a direct line of contact with the Wellbeing Team who look after the centre.
Why do we need volunteers in this role?
The courtyard at The Deal Centre is a vital part of our community space — a peaceful, welcoming area where older people can relax, socialise, and enjoy the outdoors. But like any garden, it needs regular care to stay safe, tidy, and beautiful.
