The role in a nutshell:
We're looking for friendly volunteers to help deliver Meals on Wheels to older people in Folkestone or Deal.
What will you be doing?
Using your own vehicle to deliver Meals on Wheels to older people in our local community in either Folkestone or Deal.
How would you be supported in this role?
In addition to the training we provide, we also ensure you have a direct line of contact with the Meals on Wheels service manager and other volunteers to share your experiences and help more in the community.
Why do we need volunteers in this role?
Our charity has been delivering this service in our local community for many years, in recent times the needs in the community have grown and we need more drivers and runners to meet this need, so we can feed more older people in Folkestone and Deal.
Additional information:
The service operates between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, 6 days a week in Deal and 5 days a week in Folkestone.
You could commit to a regular shift each week, or pick up a shift as and when it suits you.

What skills, interests or experience might be helpful in this role?
For a driver, a driving license and car would be useful!
