The role in a nutshell:

Helping the social club leaders to create an enjoyable and inclusive experience at one of our social clubs.

What will you be doing?

 • Offer help at a regular social activity (lunch/coffee club/dementia club/other social activity)
 • Making and service drinks
 • Helping with serving snacks/lunches 
 • Chatting to our club members
 • Playing games with our members
 • Leading activities (if you would like to)


 

How would you be supported in this role?

Full training is provided

Regular supervision with the Club Leader

You will also have support from our staff when you need it throughout your service.

Out of pocket expenses and Travel expenses will be covered in line with our Expenses policy

References available upon request 

 

Why do we need volunteers in this role?

To deliver a wide variety of activity sessions and to help even more club members to engage socially and share their experiences with others in the community. 

Additional information:

DBS is required for this role as you will be interacting with vulnerable older people, we cover the cost. 

 

You will be required to

 
Deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive material
Attend support and training sessions as required
Be sensitive to the needs of a client within this role
Report any concerns/issues to the Club Leader/Club staff
