The role in a nutshell:

Could you volunteer in one of our charity shops? Do you enjoy meeting different people and are you looking for a practical role? This could be for you!

What will you be doing?

· Creating eye-catching window displays

· Tidying and organising delays in the shop

· Undertaking collections

· Till work

· Helping to promote our work

· Gift Aid process with donations

· Encouraging others to fundraise or volunteer for us

How would you be supported in this role?

Ongoing training and support is provided.

Age UK Sheffield relies on volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life to help us in our vital work. You can be at the heart of making Sheffield a better place to grow older.

Additional information:

This role is available Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

Expect 2 to 4 weeks from application to volunteer placement.

Travel expenses can be reimbursed.

What skills, interests or experience might be helpful in this role?

· Professional, friendly and outgoing manner

· Ability to work using your own initiative

· Ability to function well in a team, giving and asking for support as needed

· Previous retail experience would be a bonus but not essential

· Commitment to work within Age UK Sheffield guidelines

· Willingness to learn about the range of our services
