The role in a nutshell:

As a Knitting Club Volunteer, you’ll help provide a friendly, supportive environment for people over the age of 65, encouraging social contact and reducing isolation in our community.

What will you be doing?

• Offering a warm welcome to clients and listening to their concerns
• Providing clear and accurate information on a range of topics
• Helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions
• Signposting to relevant services and resources
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest information to ensure the best advice is given
• Working with a fantastic team of volunteers and staff to make a real difference

How would you be supported in this role?

• We will make sure that you receive appropriate training for the role and that you have the support of a member of staff

• We offer a range of benefits to our volunteers and will also cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses
