This role is based at the Townfield Community Centre.
The role in a nutshell:
As a Volunteer Gardener, you’ll be at the heart of our efforts to maintain and tidy the Townfield Community Centre Garden, creating a space that is attractive and welcoming to staff and visitors.What will you be doing?
• To undertake light pruning, weeding and planting when necessary
• To keep the outdoor space clean and free from litter
• To ensure flowerbeds and plant pots are kept neat, tidy and in good condition
• To work within the guidelines of health & safety in the workplace
• To inform office facilities of any defective equipment and tools
• To incorporate environmentally friendly practices in the garden and surrounding spaces

What skills, interests or experience might be helpful in this role?
• Have some experience and knowledge of gardening
• Have good communication and listening skills
• Are reasonably fit and willing to work out of doors in all weather
• Have a positive, organised and flexible approach to work
